Kate Sanders Fleming 
Currently Kate is in Paso Caballos, El Petén, Guatemala with ARTcorps. ArtCorps's mission is to advance social change initiatives by promoting arts and culture as powerful tools to generate cooperative and sustainable work between development organizations and the communities they serve.
Kate Sanders-Fleming is a community-based artist and recent graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design’s painting department. She works in a variety of media, including painting, printmaking, sculpture, and installation. She is most inspired by dialogue within the local community, digesting and encouraging a give and take with people and spaces in our urban environment. She is motivated by a firm belief that art, especially collaborative practice, can transform individual lives and the health of communities. |
